Martinelli Luce’s iconic lamp, COBRA, is 50. To celebrate, a new Enamel Red version with designer Elio Martinelli’s signature has been released, to be available alongside the shiny all white and all black versions.
The manufacturer also commissioned renowned designers, to create one-off texture designs for the lamp, and a competition for designers under 35 years has been launched with the winning design to go into limited production.
First released in 1968, COBRA has been widely recognised for its simplicity and geometric form.
